Hello all, I just joined these forums since I just bought my 95 240sx s14 about 2 days ago.
I have a few questions about what I have seen under the hood and need a few requests.
The guy I bought it from has receipts and shown me that it has about 1500 in rebuild parts for the KA. Most importantly in that list is a crank kit. It also has some other aftermarket parts, stage 2 clutch, long tube headers, stainless steel exhaust. But recently I was detailing my bay and giving the car a look around and noticed some stuff Im not familiar with.

I'm wondering if i can replace this set of wiring? it looks like it was chopped/ and or melted, right above fan shroud

I found a unused connector, it sits right behind intake manifold

Image

I also found what appears to be a vacuum line with a screw in it

Image

I followed the lines they go through the mani, one goes to the air intake and the others are stopped up

Image

i went under the car and found this, looks like it comes from the top of the transmission

Image

and this connector right next to it, you can see it in the previous pic

If anyone has a diagram or can take a pic of what the hoses are supposed to go, if those plugs have any home, I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

It looks like the vacuum lines are for the charcoal canister which is still in the vehicle. I however still don't know whether they are plugged right. Any insight to these issues would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah the vacuum lines look like they are for the charcoal canister. The hose from the trans is just a vent tube (not really supposed to be hooked up to anything, it just vents the gasses from the fluid/air in the trans heating up while driving).

The wiring harness is replaceable, but it is quite the pain in the a**. The connector on the back of the intake manifold could be for EGR or some other vacuum sensor thing that they had back there at the time.

Does the car run fine?

will I just have to find a donor car to rip the harness off of?
Car seems to run normal, tach doesn't always work, fishes for the rpms on idle now and again but overall normal. Seems to be sluggish when cranking, new battery I think its the starter

You can buy the harnesses directly from Nissan, or from Wiringspecialties.com (NICO sponsor, much cheaper than OEM).

I see the distributor connector, and the maf connector, but I do not see the connector that goes from the fuel rail connector to the bundle with the maf/distr/etc..
