as some of you might know im geting rid of my 607 rwhp rb25 and goin to build my rb26, i bought the rb26 without the cas tps alternator and hydro pump, i noticed right away that the hydro pumps bracket is diffrent soo im guessing that wont be the same, so that leaves the alternator and the cas is it the same ?

Depends on the ecu more than anything else. What will you be using? if the CAS fits on the cam and you are using the same ecu, it'll work. Also, older 26's use the same cas as series 1 rb25's and rb20's for that matter.

what's a hydro pump? water pump? i thought they share the same water pump.

CAS should be the same unless you have a very late model engine with the black plastic CAS. that one has a different drive i believe. all the earlier CAS'es should be the same

the powersteering pump will be different between the two motors. As well they're pulley's are offset differently. The pump itself should be able to swap over without a problem but since the pulley will be offset incorrectly you'll want to switch your harmonic balancer to match the powersteering pump.

The CAS on your previous motor should have a star and half moon input drive see if they match up, if they do you're good to go.

Alternator will interchange over.

TPS may be different, but would need to confirm.

This is given neither engine is a R34

its the offset of where the pulley ends up, either thats done with the bracket, the pump, or the pulley itself. Ultimately, requiring the harmonic balancer to be aligned with where ever the power steering pulley ends up. Hope that makes sense. But overall, i doubt that the pulley swap will change the offset, I think it's more of a pump issue being different.

if you use your 25 crank pulley and 25 pump it should work.

This is the easiest solution in which I was trying to broadcast across.

If you use the 25 pump, you'll need the 25 balancer. If using the 26 pump you'll need the 26 balancer (R32 pump and balancer differ from the R33/34 parts).

Well Regan, if you can't find stuff you need over there, let me know, although you never really find 26's in junk yards over here.

But agreed on the what they have been saying. Bolt all the 25 gear up to it and it should work just fine. You just might have to swap a few brackets and balancer along with the actual pumps and stuff.

I usually only get online when I'm at work but not in position actually talking to airplanes. No messenger allowed on those computers, but I might try and get one working at home. Just don't use it much though.

You just need a TPS or something else? Circle it in photoshop or something in a picture and post it up. I can probably get it.
