A few RB20 questions, searching failed me :(

I've been researching the RB20 a lot, I have a few questions still though. First, does the crazy routing from the intercooler to intake mani cause many problems (since it has to cross back in front of the engine to get to it)? Second, the stock exhaust mani is T3 flanged so you can use it for a T3/T4, correct? Where would I get a downpipe for an aftermarket turbo..custom made? What size injectors does it have stock, do they have to be upgraded for the power I want? I'm looking for around 270-300 whp with a nice power band, perhaps from a T3/T4 50 trim. What's teh engine management of choice for this power level from an RB20? Sheesh, that ended up being a lot of questions. I know I'll get flamed for asking this, but I searched "RB20" on this forum and read everything...some things just weren't clear afterward :( Thanks in advnace guys!

RB20det stock injectors are 270cc. They should be red. They should max out at about 300hp.

As far as your intercooler question... It would probably help you acheive your HP goal if you get an upgraded aftermarket FMIC... so the piping across the engine to the stock one shouldn't matter. I am not an expert (YET) but my understanding is that with the R32 crossmember in S13 or S14, the IC piping will fit.. barely. If you use custom mounts for the engine it should move it back a couple inches and that will make it a little easier. So, I wouldn't worry too much about the piping.

There are a lot of places to find downpipes. Check the sponser on this forum.. most will be able to help. Getting mine from DDX (Luis) in Washington. Give him a call he can help.

i'm a little worried about the intercooler piping for my front mount. the custom piping i made goes in front of the motor...actually between the motor and the radiator sort of. I'm thinking of using some thermal tape to keep the heat out.

Actually, a new intake manifold that didn't require me to run my piping like that would be great....though they tend to cost a whole hell of alot.

for 300whp i don't think you would need full engine management. You WILL need a bigger MAF...like 300zxTT. Then you could most likely achieve your goal with a good air/fuel controller and a bost controller.
