2. im experienceing alot of vibration in my steering wheel at 60, and then 80 mph... whats that all about?

3. i hear a winedy noise when i turn my steering wheel... i think its powersteering related...

4. how do you know if you need a timing belt replacement because i got my car in august and never did a 60k cuz i couldnt afford it and im worried about my engine now... ive been trying to do this swapp asap so i wouldnt have to invest anymore time and money into my na motor but things just arent working in my favor ...

1. is the belt tight?2. have the eheels ballanced, if that doesn't help get an alignment3. check the power steering fluid level? you are using atf and not power steering fluid right!?4. if you have 6k on the car and the belt hasn't been done you are on borrowed time, you can replace it now or when you snap the belt and smash the valves and have to have the heads reworked

how do i check to see if the belt is tight? will replacing it help? i havent put anything into my powersteering pump since i got the car, but i took it to ez lube to get an oil change a few months ago and they said they topped off my fluids.. not sure what they put in there? what is atf and where can i get it?

i just got an alignment and thats when it started the shaking... before the car was pulling to the right because i had replace a bunch of suspension parts after my accident and then i got it aligned and they said my caster and camber are off and its not adjustable so untill i get adjustable aftermarkets there is nothing i can do... does this have anything to do with the shaking.. and did you mean balance my tires when you said " get the eheels ballanced"? if my wheels were unbalanced wouldnt i experience shaking throughout the entire ride not just between 60 and 80 mph?

i heard the 60k is gonna cost me 1G is this true? i cant afford that.. wut do they do in a 60k other than change out your timing belt? do they replace anything else? how much would it be for me to just replace the timing belt and what does that entail? i couldnt do it myself could i? are there any symptoms that foreshadow timing belt failure? maybe i dont need one...

if you can't tell if the belt is tight, just take it to a mechanic either you get it or you don't, as for the hweel ballance, sometimes you have to get them up to a cerrtain speed before it presents itself, you could also have a bent wheel but they'll find out for sure on the ballancer, as for 1k 60k mile service, I spent about 500 on parts, I did seals hoses, waterpump etc, so I can see 1k being parts and labor

regardless i dont have 1 grand! i dont want to loose my car but its my daily driver so is there a cheaper way to go about doing this? i have 2 pay 2 tickets totaling to around 700 dollars by next week which i am barely scrounging up the money to do... and once i fight them and win im not sure when im going to be getting back that money so id say im screwed financialy untill the end of the month... how much will it be to just replace the belts (powersteering, and timing) if i take it to the dealer?

and im almost sure one of my wheels are bent after that accident... but wheels and tires are expensive and i know i might not have a choice now... but i would like to NOT buy oem rims, if i have to replace my rims i would like to upgrade.... but thats not going to be untill i can replace my timing belt, upper arms, possibly powersteering belt i suppose, and maybe even my intake filter, havent replaced that since i got the car (august last year) which is prob. very bad...

Check out your power steering system (belt, fluid, pump, etc) for the noise and steering issue.

The vibration in the wheel is tire balance. Period.

As for the 60K, its not cheap at the dealership. Probably would be like a grand. And no, you can't do just the belt, that's not the way to do it, do the full 60K service for the Z32.

if you can't afford 1k now maybe you can afford 3k when it pops and smashes the valves

i understand what your saying but its not like i have a G... when i say i cant afford it i dont mean that i have the money and i cant spend it on that right now... i mean that i dont have that kind of money at all... so its not a matter of just " ok i may as well just pay for it now." its more of a " come on baby, hold out for 3 more weeks and i'll fix you up good as new!"but id like to tack on a question to this thread be4 it dies

my ebrake is at almost a 90 degree angle and its barely holding my car from rolling back out of my driveway... i have taken my car to 2 shops in the past few months and asked them to adjust my ebrake and both times they told me that it didnt need to be adjusted and thats how it was supposed to be... now i explained to them the fact that it says in the nissan service manual ( and i showed them this also) that the ebrake was suposed to hold after being pulled up 6 clicks and at the time i was at about 11 when it began grabbing 13 to 14 when it actually held the guys just looked dumbfounded and told me they couldnt fix it... so my question is WHAT THE HELL IM I SUPPOSED TO DO? im ready to just fix it myself but i dont know how

there si a cable that attached to the bottom of the e-brake handle, tighten it, if it's already bottomed out, you might need a new cable, and I assume your rear brakes are in good working order?
