well i finally found my head on e-bay so now the fun journey begins. to start i found a good machine shop here in austin that can do all the work i want. not to advertise them but there website is portpros.com.

my questions are these; i am going to get new valves stiffer springs and new retainers installed, also i am having a good port and polish job 3 angle valve job etc. should i have the valve ports oversized and larger valves put in? i am staying N/A so i dont know if it would be beneficial. also i am not sure what cam i am going to slap in there i am waiting for an email back from enjuku about how they measure. i know pdm measures @.050 but thats something i'll figure out on my own. anyways probably the stage two or three from enjuku. now since these are regrinds what do i need to install them if anything?

and finally the crank. i know we dont have a rev happy engine but i am planning on getting a spare crank now and having it fully balanced and knife edged, what do you all think that would do for the engine and its revability? just curious if it would be worth it

thanks for your time and sorry for the long post

No. Definately not. The head design of the KA is wonderful as-is. Do not change it.

Just a clean-up of the little stock imperfections will be good enough and definately some port matching. I think you have to bring your header for that job to be done correctly.

just talked to the owner of my machine shop and he said they can do a port polish job using their flow bench for about 900, yes that is expensive but at the same time i have a flow chart and he said they work with comp cams and that they can custom grind me a cam to fit my flow profile, sounds pretty enticing
