1.Where can i get carbon fiber body pieces for my car (1993 240sx fastback)? Someone mentioned the hoods, but I dont want a stock replacement peice, I am looking for something to help cool my engine a bit more )a upper duct from the radiator in the hood would be nice).2. I plexigalss windows? can I get them?...just the rears, really. plexi/lexan tends to scratch too much to be used for the front of a street car...3. 17" wheels versus 16"? I can get a sweet deal on a set of kosei K-1's right now, but they are 16"...it will clear the 300ZX brake conversion, and I think racing tires are much easier to get for a 225-50-16 and a 245-45-16 setup...(otherwise I'd use a 215-45-17, and 245-40-17)4. cheap upgrades for the car that wont impede a turbo being dropped in (im talking like under $300 for the part, preferable 150..). I've already done the following:Apex-I n-1 exhaustfront strut bar (Apex-i again..)Nology plug wiresNology coilUR crank pulleyJUN chromoly flywheel with ACT 6-puck clutchcusco rear carbon fiber strut barSS brake lines, X-drilled rotors, metal master padsShort shifter (pilot motorsports)

thanks!0h yeah, RWHP right now: 138.6, TQ: 142.1for reference, this good? bad? pitifull? -Chet (0-yeah, for you Z31.com forum peeps, its Chet224z, my modified 224hp Z died a few months ago..)

17s would probably be better, even 18s, especially with a turbo in the future. You may be able to add an intake, someone can correst me if I'm completely off on that. The carbon fiber and plexiglass you'll probably just have to search for on the web. Daunttless may be able to help you on a lot of this, though he may be having some pains from the stones, and thus not be on much at the moment.

Actually, I'm currently in the process of seeing if I can get quite a few carbon fiber pieces made, fenders, hood, doorskins, trunk lids, etc for everything from the s13 hatch, s13 coupe, both s14s, as well as silvia conversion pieces. : )

I know of 1 company that makes tinted lexan windows, but I"ll have to find a link, search for lexan they should come up.

For turbo preparation parts I would suggest the brake upgrades, LSD and suspension. : )

Anything else we can help you with?

yeah, I already planned on getting a japan spec VLSD before the turbo, and a set of APEX-i N-1 coil overs...and cusco sway bars, some solid rear subframe bushings...and yeah..I think that would do it(already got the strut tower braces...)

yeah, It would really be cool to get some carbon fiber peices because I am planning on road racing tis car at road atlanta sometime soon, and would like to lighten this already fairly light-weight car a bit more.

I'll try searching for those windows man, thanks.

Is the Japan spec LSD any better than once off a car here? No sense in paying the extra money if they do the same thing.

I want a VLSD(non clutch type limited slip), I think some of them used in the states are/were clutch types(which can wear out..), and I've had trouble finding information on getting a hold of them, and apparently i ahve to swap out some output flanges(or something?) to make a 1994 LSD work in my 1993(because of the HICAS?)

thanks!-chet

OK, so I found a few carbon fiber hoods, and am still searching for lighter weight body peices...and a LSD. I have a parts hookup at nissan, and can probably get a stock nissan LSD for cheap (working at a tire place with wholesale rights rocks..), the question is....I have a 1993 SE 240sx(obviously), what should I ask for to get this thing to drop in easy-like? and will I need the CV shafts?

thanks(and yeah I searched again..but didnt find these specifics..)

For the record the VLSD isn't Jspec... we have it here too. As far as I know... all s13's and s14's with LSD rearends... are VLSD. Depending on the donor vehicle.. the VLSD can be a direct swap. As for the output flanges on a HICAS rear-end... I'm not certain, but I THOUGHT they were the same.
