just a few questions when these lifts offered by 4x4.com are installed. do you need to replace your track bar and trailing arms? and do you have to change tour swaybar endlinks to longer ones? i mean ill spend 700 buks on a lift kit, but not when im gunna spend another 500 or more on additional parts.

no you dont have to change any of that stuff withsuch a small lift (2") you should extend track bar and trailing arms when you go 4"+

and itsnot even required, you can drive down the road without replacing that stuff but your axle will be in a funny spot and off to the side.

but with the factory suspension a 2" lift will be no problem, with the bigger tires and higher ride height the suspension wont be too soft or not strong enough to handle the lift? only reason im concerned is because a buddy of mine lifted his blazer nd he didnt do any other suspesion parts except springs, shocks, ect.and he rolled it because the rest of the factory suspension couldnt handle the lift.

pathfinders have a much lower center of gravity. even with just 2" lift springs and the rest stock, you could spin donuts all day long and you will never come close to tipping over.

They have the 1.75" OME (Old Man Emu) lift. You can find the lift at the following page: http://www.rocky-road.com/pathfindersus.html

whats funny is the white pathfinder pictured on that site, belongs to a member of http://www.4x4parts.com and its running a AC 2" lift, not the old man emu lift !!

i recommend http://www.ruggedrocksoffroad.com for Old Man Emu,

rocky road actually has messed up part #'s and descriptions and they are selling weaker lifts under the guise that they are heavy duty. ruggedrocks has everything on point and on deck!

So emus only give you .5" to .75" of lift, not 1.75"?

Yeah, what the hell? So there is no OME lift over 1"? So the AC lift offers the biggest suspension lift? I wish there were an easily accessible SFD for the R50.

So you have the 0.5" OME springs but you netted a 1.75" lift? So if I were to use the 1" OME springs, could I expect more lift (like 3")?

Sheesh, I'd probably just fork over the extra money and get the AC lifts, just so I know what I'm dealing with...

Why does the AC site say that an aftermarket wheel with a 3.75" negative backspace is required with the lift installed? Is this actually required?

the rockyroad site is actually more expensive than 4x4.com. and personally i'd buy the lift from 4x4 just because they use GR-2 struts and bilstein shocks. but on 4x4.com their is a 765 dollar and a 790 dollar kit. the 765 dollar kit uses bilstien shocks, and the 790 dollar kit uses rancho RS9000KL shocks. anyone know which shocks are actually better?

no, lots of people run stock wheels which have 4.5" backspacing!! its when you upsize the tires that you need less backspacing !!

This is a bit confusing to me. Let's say I got the AC 2" lift, and put 265/70-17 (31.6") tires on my stock 17" QX4 wheels. Would I have problems?

I think you guys would be fine. You would probably have to trim a little plastic but that's it. I've got the EMU 922HD springs and I got between 1.5"-2" of lift. I had no idea people were reporting up to 3" with the AC springs. I wonder what they settled to. If they're getting over 2" I might change over!

You don't have to buy it as a kit. You can buy the coils by themselves and get the shocks and struts cheaper somewhere else.
