Hey, Im debating about whether or not to get the Q45t for a local dealer. I was looking at the stereo system and it looks like (and sound slike from waht I've been reading) it is not a good idea to replace it.

Here are the questions ( I didnt go in and look at the car in person yet):1. Is the cd changer in the trunk? If so, are you actually supposed to load your cds through the trunk or what?(like, literally go to the trunk and put them in) or is there some type of mechanism that transfers them to the back?

Obviously, I'm a newbie to luxury cars.

2.Does the default cd player accept mp3 discs? Im a big fan of mp3 discs and they last me about 3 months rather than 20 song cd, so this feature is important to me

3. Say I dont want the default cd player, and I want to throw in an aftermarket cd player with the faceplates ( like pioneer and alpine, y'know, the flashy looking well lit radios), is this possible without any major problems? This is the most important question, as I would like to replace my radio, and if it will be too much to trouble to do, I'd just rather not even get the car(I know, sounds ridiculous, but I LOOOOVE music)

THANX 4 any help in advance

sorry for the long read

Welcome to NICO

First off, replacing the stereo is not a real big deal! Yes, the CD changer is in the trunk and theres a magazine that you have to reload from the trunk. Its kind of a pain but its SO nice when you're driving because youre not fiddling with CDs. Factory CD changer will not accept CD-RW's or MP3s (they barely had CDs in 1994, MP3 didnt come for a LONG time after that)..

You can replace the HU and use the bose speakers/amps fine, many people do that and it works. For best results, you may want to replace the HU and the speakers to a fully aftermarket system.

Theres a guy on the forum who sells Ipod adapters for the stock stereo. no tape player it actually uses AUX-IN on the back and works great!
