Hi i just had a SR20DET swap on my 95 240 i having really bad probs with it idle at about 500 to a 1000 and dieing when it gets hot also the speed reads WAY high say im going 45 it says im going 130 aslo it over heats fast i just replaced the thermostat im going to try unplugin the MAF and see what happens but is there anything eles that could cause that prob

pull the mafs to go over the idle. see if it stabilzes the idle at all. Then search sr20det idle and you'll see what problems other folks have had and what they did to fix it.

the 45->130 problem, check your wiring on the lower harness. is it accurate up to the actual 45mph or is it just totally off all the way?

ok i unpluged the maf and it just died and the speed is off all the time

Get an S14 speed sensor. I'm assuming this SR was of the S13 variety. The speed sensors are different between the generation of cars.

Replace the coolant sensor in the head. It's the two prong probe next to the TPS switch.
