Edit: Sorry forgot to add that it is a year 2000

Sorry if some of these questions have already been answered but I tried searching the forums but couldn't find any answers.

So I just bought a Q45 today with 105,000 miles on it and I've encountered a few problems so far. The main problems are half of the warning lights in the gauge cluster don't light up. All of the warning lights on the left side light up when the key is in the ON position but none of the warning lights on the right side work including the Service Engine light. Has anyone ever encountered this before or know what is causing it?
I tried to look at the fuses to see if that is where the problem was but there is no cover for the inside fuse panel in the drivers footwell. If anyone has the diagram showing which fuses do what that would help a lot.

Another problem I have is that the highbeams do not work. When my lights are on the highbeams don't come on and the highbeam icon doesn't come on in the gauge cluster either.

If anybody could help me out with either of these issues I would greatly appreciate. Other than a few issues the car is really clean and I've enjoyed it so far.

Here is a picture of my gauge cluster: https://i.imgur.com/TaSKk1h.jpg
As you can see the left side warning lights are lit but the ones on the right are not on.

:welcome: to NICO!

Congratulations on the purchase of such a low mileage Q!

I'd check out the factory service manual (see my signature for the link) to see if there's a fuse diagram in there. I wonder if it's as simple as an unplugged harness from the cluster?

It could be an unplugged harness but it seems kind of odd that only half of the cluster would not work when the other side works perfectly fine.

I guess it depends on how the lights are fed. It's probably about as likely that it's a bad cluster, but I've never heard of that before. I haven't heard of half of the lights not working though either... at 18 years old (or 28 in my case!) pretty much anything becomes fair game.

Check out page EL-122 of the FSM. It shows what's controlled by what connectors on the back of the cluster. On EL 121-122 it talks about which fuse feeds the cluster... I think it's only one, so it's unlikely that a fuse is your problem if some of the cluster works.

Thanks for all of your help Q451990. I feel that I might have been wrong and maybe the SES bulb is just out. Looking at the combination meter diagram on page EL-122 and page 2-8 of the owners manual (which shows which lights are supposed to be on with the key in the ON position) the only light thats supposed to be on the right side of the instrument panel is the SES light.

So now I need to figure out what kind of bulb it is and how to replace it. Thanks for your help!
