figured, instead of reading everything ill just list everything.1. it wont start! the car will occasionally turn but lights all flicker and it wont start, then it starts dying down and just clicks, also the engine shakes ALOT.i tried jumping the battery but it still wouldnt start, but it came close a few times. when it was running it would idle at 1500rpm then rev to 2000 then back down ovr and over again.

2. my digital speedometers wiring is loose and/or not hooked up and im no electrial guy so i dont know how to hook that back up, and i kinda need the speedomoter.

3. the fuel gauge always says empty.

4. i need a sound system! just wondering who would put what in their 240 for a low cost but decent sound, also a radio to, dont have one.

5. my right side view wont adjust.

6. and power windows dont work.

choose which one to answer! thank you in advance

ok the car dosen't start so check the battery if that it's lower the 12 volts it's crap and needs a charge or a new one(the battery usually will be at 12.6 if you get a new one) check your fuel, spark and compression if there all good then the motor should atleast run and for your reving problem it's a 90 percent chance that it is the TPS (throttle position sensor) i think the reason for no start is that your pump could be siezed which would explain the reason for you gas gauge as well. try all that out then get back to me good luck

well i cant try anything right now, its sitting at the shop, but as for the fel pump i doubt its siezed, cause if it was i wouldnt be able to drive it, correct? well before i had this problem i was able to start and drive it.i know the battery may be an issue, its a old and small battery. and the revving i figured it was the throttle, but my buddy is dead sure its the timing

fuel pumps can just go bad, and if they are intermittan..mans bad wiring...which can be bad juju for fuel stuff, timing can play a big role in it as well, but if you were driving it around its probably no the timing. Also check the ground from the battery to the chassis, and from the motor to the chasis. with the revving probs you could have some emmsions components that are clogged up/bad, you should start with a full tune up take a part off, clean it(before replacing it its exspensive..(egr AAS...ect) and get a chiltons manual for it.

check the starter solenoid im guessingif the lights are bright before you crank and then as soon as you crank the lights dim the starter probably is trying to start but the solenoid is no kicking properly.
