Post

So the during the past week I've actually had a few days off of work, and without a girlfriend, I had plenty of time to work on my car. I didn't do much, but I'm very happy with it. I started last wednesday by removing all four calipers and cleaning the living s*** out of them. Then I painted the red. I masked off the front letters because they had grooves(z32 brakes) and sanded the letters on the back. Here's pictures of that

Getting them off, my friend is weird car up in the air prepping calipers And done

This is after I put them on the car

And today I finally got tires for my new wheels. I've been waiting to get the complete set since September. These things are hard to find. They're 350z track wheels. 18x8 in the front and 18x8.5 in the back. 3 are refinished and 1 isn't. I finally gave up and bought the used one. The back 2 tires came today so I had them mounted and everything. So without further ado....here's some pictures..

Credit goes to my best friends girlfriend, Marlee Smith. I told her to just take simple pictures for now because the car is filthy. She takes really good pictures though

And I know, more LOAR. I have stance's on order, so it will be eventually

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think

Classy!

Invest $40 in some center caps for those wheels.

Simple and clean. I would normally make a comment about the wheels, but they are oem so it still retains the clean look.

More low is a necessity though.

Yea I know. Once I get the stances installed, Im not going to slam it but Im going to get rid of the wheel gap. Simple and clean is exactly what Im going for, and its about all I can afford

Yea I am, after I order RUCAs. Will just the normal 350z center caps fit?

You could have just sanded the letters off instead of taping, a little easier. Good job though, looks good.

I get more pics of it soon. it's just the diamond lock lip from home depot. I still need to finish fixing the factory lip

Thanks man. Its fine though, after 2 years, we did nothing but fight. So I cut off.I ordered them on January 15th from IntensePower. Apparently everyone is out of these so Im waiting on stance to send some more out

Yea I've always had a thing for the track wheels. I got the 2 rears in september for about 450, then 1 of the fronts in november or december for 250, and the last front wheel in January for 200. So close to a grand for 3 refinished wheels and one used, but in pretty good condition.

yea like I said I shaved the rears after painting, but the letters on the front calipers have little grooves to them, so It would have been just as hard to file them completely smooth to get all the paint off as it was to tape them off. i might still file them, to make them shinier

Thanks everyone for the compliments

I was always wondering what kids payed for them. I got them from a guy who had no idea what they were worth. Got all 4 for $250.

Yea they're tokiko blues with eibach pro springs. They came with the car and the guy gave me a folder with everything he ever bought so I'll have to look back to when he bought them but I've pu about 20k miles on them and they're still doing great. The ride isn't extremely harsh and they are low enough to keep me happy but now that I have new wheels I want everything to be flush. Whenever the coilovers get here I'm going to sell them

I'm just gonna throw some OEM shocks back on there to replace the blown Tokicos since I'm gonna be selling the car soon... The next owner will have to deal with it...

someone asked for more pictures of the lip, so here's a few. I just used the 3M headlight kit, worked pretty good

for anyone wanting to do this, it cost about 22 bucks all together. Its diamond lock from home depot, and i found it outside in the gardening section. Its brick edger. The studs for the factory lip actually line up almost perfectly with all the holes on the diamond lock, but a few(like 3) need to be re drilled. Just get some and you'll know what Im talking about. One piece isn't long enough, so get 2. If you look on the left side you can see where thhe two meet. That's the only downside. I could have done it better, but i didn't think I was going to keep it on for a year
