well its a funny story. I used the r33 crossmember and mounts, he used mounts from the ****tard shop supertunermotorsports. that came undrilled. so he drilled them where he needed it and lowered the engine.

the shifter is about an inch forward for mine but no problems shifting.

Very nice looking guys. Great Job. Hardest part of the swap besides wiring?

nameless- thanks im trying to keep it looking as clean and stock looking as possible. i want people to say "that engine looks like it came from the factory like that"

s13sil-line the wiring was the hardest part, even then it wasnt that hard. just time consuming.

Kamin, Krayton, did you guys get the sidemount IC to fit well? The cold pipe on my RB20DET (in S14) curves too far forward and hits the turn signal housing. I had to cut a good bit of metal from the inside of the bumper, but it still will not fit (I can't cut into the turn signal housing!).

Looks like a custom cold pipe is in order.

hah i have the most ghetto IC piping setup ever. it looks stock in the engine bay but in the fender well its a cluster**** hehe.

i didnt have any trouble with the length of the pipes (wich now that you mention it, that seems odd)

most of my IC piping problems were trying to get the IC to match the hot and cold pipes without having to go custom.

When we did Hybrids we were able to flip over one of the pipes (the longer one with more bends I think) and make it fit in the S14 fender at an angle.

Hopefully this helps.

Hmmm.... do mean that you reversed the cold pipe (the longer one with the bends) and it fit? Hmm.... I'm not looking at it right now, but it does seem like that could work. Maybe I'll get a chance to try it this weekend. Thanks!

Kick *** fellas... Its good to hear that you guys got your problems sorted out.

Joe: Is that your mines ECU? Got any specs on it? The RB looks very good in there.

Yes thats my mines ecu. i have NO idea on the specs. it isnt too hardcore so im assuming its just a general upgrade tune.

I tried to flip that cold pipe around.... no go. Definitely will not even come close to fitting that way. I'll probably just bolt it up as is and just live with it until I learn how to make quality steel pipe welds.

But if I have to weld up intercooler piping anyway, I'd rather just put in an FMIC.

you can do what i did. went to the hot rod shop. got "U" bends. also got 3ft of silicone hose. then just cut the bend to whatever degree i needed. and wherever I needed welds, just put a coupling.

Here is a top view that might help: http://www.simplydrift.com/RBS14/rbf.jpg

Maybe Hybrid can take some pics of it out of the car since he's changing to a FMIC now.
