Please excuse my horrible photography skill. This thing fits like factory, for now I'm just wiping it with tire wet to try and match it with the unpainted sides and rear on the 97-98 Q's. I'm planning to paint it matt black so hopefully it matches the sides / rear better. If I paint it like the body, then I'll want to paint the sides and rear and I can't really afford it now, what with our house closing on the 20th and our baby due early June, so I'm trying to wrap up my Q as quick as I can so I can just enjoy driving it for the next 3-4 years.

Yes, congrats on the baby coming. You really don't know untill you have one. It's great.

To be honest, the lip really isnt my cup of tea. Make the front look more bulky than it has to be IMO.

Dang dude, this is the first thing about your car i don't like. I almost teared up cause your car is stunning. The pic in your signature is straight SICK. Not to be funny but the first thing that came to mind is that your car now looks like a fat broad's neck, too many rolls below the chin. I'll prolly get used to the new look after a few takes anyway.

Looks like a pretty good mix of like / don't like. Keep in mind, the pictures suck, in person, standing near or far, it looks perfect IMO. It really works with the stock lines in the bumpers.

And thanks re: the house and kid, I know I'm in for some big changes!

Falk,

I think your car looks better without it. JT is right... it looks a bit busy up front now... too many layers and the fact that there is nothing extra under the rear bumper leaves it uneven. Sometimes less is more.

Still want the keys....Drew...

Personally, I think it looks better, I just need pics that show the car how I see it in real life. I hear that's the hardest thing about photography: make the camera see what you see.

Looks pretty cool, I think it matches your theme of "Grand Touring" idea... it really looks like a touring car from the front view. Nice! And.. yes, I would color match the body trims around so the car would look more refined. Good job man and congrats on your new home and the kid!

I really do think it makes the nose look a little too busy, but I hope you wherent offended by my little comparasion with the Fokker Triplane. You knew that you where going to get needled no matter what in CSi:OT. Hell, ever since I got the Q they have gave me **** about "MaD HighWAy Kills YOo!" in SvA.

Hmmmm, I'm not feeling it either...

To me, it makes the car cry out for sides / rear valances.

Is it painted the same gloss black? I'd say shooting it to match will help a ton.

Not my cup 'o tea, but it's all about what YOU dig.

Congrats on the house and little one!!!!

I will also have to add that I think it looks too busy and "too bolted-on". I really liked the way your car looked before the new front lip.

But that's just my 2 cents, and it's what you like that really matters at the end of the day...

Sorry, but I'm not getting it, either.

I think it's that last lip that throws it off for me. But you're clearly a VIP guy, and I'm not. What I really appreciated about the way your car looks is its refinement - not an extreme in any way. But that could also be interpreted as wussiness by purists.

So I'll just watch as you keep working with it. You've got a great sense of style.

I notice that some people on NICO not you specifily 96Qowner seem to hate on style. Hey if someone wants to spice up there car alittle asteticly that on them.

This Y33 is not over done at all. Falk-the car was sexy before and she is still sexy!!!!....And congrats on the house and family..its a blessing.

Nobodys hating here. Just stating opinions.

I don't think it looks bad, I just like it better without it.

It's definatly unique.

It's all good and everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if it's wrong

I'll take better lit pics asap, it really looks good when you're standing by the car, and a nice side profile shot would give a better idea of how low it is. Honestly, IMO, it blends with the car, but gives a bit of aggressiveness to the front end.

Pictures don't always do justcie. It could look great in person.

Try this, Put the camera on the gound in dead center front of the car with the whole car in focus. That should be a cool shot.

That's why the first thing I said was forgive my crappy picture skills, lol. I just can't seem to get a good shot to save myself.

The guy that took the pic in my sig actually set his camera on a cup, I need to try that.
