Here's a few tidbits for those of you considering a new Infiniti product (or just curious as to what's on the horizon)...

1) G35 convertible should be released in early 2006...

2) Infiniti will add another "letter designation" package to it's history... The a (active), the t (touring) will be joined by the x (AWD). The G35x will come equipped with the ATTESA E-TS system as a $1500-$1800 option on the 2005 model. It is the same AWD system currently available on the FX.

3) Yes, Infiniti intends to build a "BMW M-fighter"... The G45 (yes, 4.5) AWD will be available in 2006 and will likely be a limited production run. Rumor on this car? It'll be named "Skyline".

4) New 2003 M45's, with an MSRP of $46K, can now be leased for as low as $399/month.

5) I35 production will continue. However, the I is likely to assume a "Baby M45" position, based upon the Japanese-market Teana sedan.

6) QX56 vehicles are already creating quite a stir. Infiniti has been wooing potential Armada customers who complain the Armada is "just too plain", and pre-release orders are already being taken.

How can they name the G45 the Skyline if the G35 already has that designation? Would that be the skyline here, while the G35 remains the skyline in Japan?

so the G45 is gonna be a 2 door right? Sounds more like MKV Supra fighter if toyota will make it soon enough, though I bet the infiniti will have a much nicer interior.

So all this hits around 2006 huh? I think it's time to engage the get rich quick plan!

have they released any concepts of the G45 yet or is it gonna look like a G35 more or less?

The G45 will likely look very similar to the current Coupe. It will indeed be the Skyline. Keep in mind that there are those pesky displacement restrictions in Japan...

Supra-fighter indeed. :D

Greg did you confirm the skyline is gonna be carried in the infiniti line instead of the nissan line? I was under the assumtion since it was bagged as nissan overseas that it would be badged as nissan in the US. I was hopeful to see a real powerhouse on our show room floor.:(

Aww Sorry Scott.:(

Most rumors seem to point to it being badged as an Infiniti.

Nissan's sportscar is the 350Z and the GTR will be deep in an Infinitiesque price range.

Ditto what Fred said.

Besides, Nissan has some real work to do on the Z. It's a good car, but the "warts" are already starting to show... G coupe sales are really eating into it's popularity, and for some relatively minor (and easy-to-remedy) reasons.

Is that blue car a restyled I? It has a very Passat-like profile.

Is that G45 going to be a G but with a 4.5 liter V8? Sounds interesting.

Yes, the Skyline will likely look very much like the current G but have 4.5 liters and AWD.

The blue car is indeed the JDM Teana, but will likely be the replacement for the current I35.

350Z warts? Some styling issues, poor headroom, some interior problems and needs more power. Plus, fit and finish has been heavily criticized as not being up to Nissan's usual standards.
