Man that really looks good. Great engine work. Seems like you got a little beast there under the head. Definietly a HEAD TURNER! Would of never expected it.

I will too have to trade some of these kunckle babies for that S12. About 2 years ago I had a chance to own an S12 with a boosted CA18, re-geared diff, setup strickly for drift. I passed on the chance, which the car was a steal based on what came with it. Only had a few problems. Wonder where I would be with it today. Sigh. I didn't look further into it because of some research on the motor, and the age of it.

Thanks for the comments.....

I think I've got the knuckle baby thing figured out...if it's what I'm thinking it is, you guys go ahead and hang on to them.... :gapteeth:

Was the S12 you were talking about in the ATL area? I noticed you are there. I've never seen one the times I have been there. Jonathan, the editor from S3 mag has one...he lives over there somewhere.

Your car looks great and well put together! I like the creative position for your oil filter, I'm sure it makes oil changes a charm to perform...! =D

I have a similar turbo heat shield, have you considered installing a turbo blanket instead?

Thanks man...

I haven't changed the oil yet since I put the filter there, but yeah, it should be a breeze. I just mounted it where the little bracket that holds the CAS harness to the timing cover. Just removed the bracket, and slapped it on and zip-tied the hoses out of the way.
As far as a turbo blanket, I looked at them. Kindy spendy + don't really like how they look. The heat shield I fabbed up, believe it or not makes a HUGE difference in heat reduction compared to no shielding at all. I can touch the top of the shield after a pull, and it's just warm to the touch. I did add some of that gold stick on heat shield tape to the underside of the shield...so I'm sure that helps.

Good idea regarding the gold stick on heat shield tape!
