i posted this in the vert section and i could use a few more eyes(opinions/advice)

need-a-little-insurance-advice-t486275.html

Long story short: visited a friend, parked on street, was hit, found woman that did it and got her insurance info, tried going the less hassle way, caliber collision did paint and body, but jacked up my door panel, they say "its an old car" and won't own up.

I would personally just take the loss and get some new panels. If they did a good job on the bodywork, I'd be satisfied as door panels are easily replaceable.

But if their work too is half assed, that's a different story.

i haven't seen a big market for convertible panels. or are you talking about doing the seatbelt mod and getting some coupe panels.

do you know someone selling vert panels?

I'm not sure where you're at, your thread said Arlington, so I'm assuming Texas, but if you're anywhere near California, you should easily be able to find a set of panels. If worse comes to worst, get some shipped.

Or yeah, do the seatbelt mod you were talking about. And if your old ones were warped, think of this happening as some incentive to get new panels.
