A few launches and car doesnt move in gear now. 89 240sx

A friend of mines did some launches in his car, a 1989 240sx. He launched the car at 3.5k rpms a couple of times, about 3-4 and now the car doesnt go when its in gear.

The clutch was sliping just a little bit before this happened, but the clutch cant be all gone after 3-4 launches!!!!!My clutch was sliping a little also same thing as his, but I can do 10 launches at 3.5k and it still feel the same as before.

BTW we have the same car, both 89 240sx

I say its time to get a new clutch. With it already slipping you have no way of telling what happened in there. The friction material could have fallen off, shattered, ect...
