a few issues w/ my new 01 QX4...couple questions

alright, i have a couple minor issues with my new 01 QX4. 1) Err2 code on the head unit. going to replace that w/ aftermarket prob. Is there a good QX4/Pathfinder classified section somewhere to buy used parts?2) Front rotors are warmed and could use turning? just one question...my audi has "lifetime" rotors that couldn't be turned and had to be replaced. Can the Infiniti rotors be turned?3) gas leaks from the tank or possibly a line, but only when the tank is full. might just have a bad connection or line that needs to be replaced. haven't been able to look at it yet. any common problems w/ this?4) don't have any Key FOBs. The previous owner only had the one key. What's the best place to get Key FOBS and/or spare keys? No Infiniti dealer around here.

I think that's it. Like I said, pretty minor issues. Love the SUV and am glad I bought it.

1) I had this problem too... Err2 means that there is a CD jammed in the changer.

2) You may be able to turn them but they will warp quicker after doing so. Better to just get new ones if you can afford it (at least there are only two). Check your pad wear too, if a piston in a caliper is frozen, it will give you the same shaking feeling when breaking. The pads will be worn on an angle instead of straight accross.

3) There was a recall on the gas filler tube. Check with an Infiniti dealer to see if this was corrected on your truck. It will be free of charge.

4) Check eBay. I see them on there all the time. This is what the key fob looks like (I have an '01 too)...

Check eBay for spare keys or infiniti-parts.com has them too. You'll have to call to get the right one.

I'm sure about programming the key or the fob, I've never had to mess with mine.
