THe previous owner of my car installed an HKS Super Drager exhaust, it has 65 mm piping (2.56" i believe)..I want to turbo my KA eventually, and I was wondering if I shoudl keep this exhaust or just get a 3" BRM. My power goal is between 250-300 whp, limited by the fact that its a daily driver and needs to be reliable, I can't afford standalone engine management or full forged internals, and I already have an ACT street clutch thats only rated for 267 WTQ. So...will this be a decent exhaust to leave on? :) Also, I was lookign under the car and it looks like there is a cat, another cat, a resonator, and a muffler, in order from engine-->exhaust tip. What is the diamter of the piping between the 2 cats? Did the exhaust replace that part?

the exhaust goes from the second cat back and on...the piping between the two cats... I can measure it for you since I have em out. I'll save ppl the trouble and say, BRM, as I remember from the pics, the muffler itself is inconspicuous compared to the others out there, so depending on your style, although I think they have 2 styles of mufflers?

OK cool, seeems kinda pointless to get a big downpipe and catback if there's still some stock restrictive piping in there :(

Yes. 65mm = 2.56"

And for your power goals 2.56" should be enough.... yes I did read the entire 18 pages of the BRM exhaust thread :P

But it depends on how restrictive the HKS exhaust/muffler is. Although I do think you should be ok.

The Super Dragger is a good exhaust.

Perhaps I'll keep it on then, a 3" BRM stainless was gonna set me back $460.
