First I would like to say that I played hell getting back on this site. Stictly out of my own stubborness. I lost my password but when I tried to get them to send it to my email address (because they told me I didn't input a safety question which i did), it never came. I tried this several times over a period of several days and then weeks. Over this time I have developed several questions and problems with my baby (1990 Nissan 240sx SE S13 KA24E). My former self, jduncan111 (which i eventually had to just eliminate and start anew to get back to business with posting) and my new reincarnated self known as newagejedi needs help getting my ride back to her once pristine condition. Ok so here's the deal, let's start with smoothness of engine running. I think a tune up may be what is needed here but i was looking into a cold air induction system or at least a bigger air filter that lets more air in and wanted to know everyone's thought's on this. Eventually I do want to turn this car into a drifter but for now it has to remain an everyday driver with practical application. This is not to say that I can't start thinking ahead, but I do need to still watch the budget especially because this is not the only thing that is going to have to be addressed right now. Next I want to move to spark plugs. I read alot of suggestions about what to use if you are racing but I want to know what to use if You just want to increase HP but still maitain decent gas mileage if there is such a thing. Also my idle seems kinda high at times, (air conditioner OFF) it will settle in around 1100 RPMs with the clutch in or in neutral and sometime it will be normal at around 800 RPMs. I don't get it. Speaking of the clutch, I thnk it's about to go. My dumb *** got pissed off at my fiancé the other day and stormed off and dumped the clutch but instead of roasting the tires the RPMs redlined and I had to put the clutch back in and release it again to get it to engage. Now I can't get it to "screech" at all. It's time huh? I Have been lookin at racing clutches online and wondering which ones are the best and worth the money. Like I said eventually I would like this to be a difter but one step at a time. I would really like a list of the things I could do (starting with the smallest most inexpenseive through the largest most expensive) I could do to build my 1990 240 up to be a bad *** drifter. So what i guess i want to do with this thread is get every one to list what they did to their drift cars with price tags next to each item - that after some one has answered my questions if they could if they would would be so kind
