when i installed mine, it would hook on to the transmission, or mount to the car, but not both.

I will not answer you on the basis that you can't take the time to properly spell words.

sorry, i am tired, i went to school all day and worked then came home and put in my motor except i dont have a 5spd transmission cross member. Then i got to thinking i dont know if my lower automatic harness will work with my 5spd sr swap. i know where i can get a lower harness if i need too but, i was wondering can i just use the auto one? or did i need the sr one? sorry for the bad spelling and being impatient but when i was late to school i was hurrying.

the auto trans harness won't work with 5 speed sensors. but to be honest the only sensor you need to connect up is the reverse gear sensor. you can splice that into the inhibitor plug at the fusebox to make it work. Just click on the link in my sig to see some stuff on it. Disregard the wiring instructions on tricking the car to thinking it's in park. That's to get the top working.

Thanks.

I don't know about you but after answering the same questions for going on 5 years I really have zero respect for people that don't stop and take the time to properly make a post.

They put forth 10% of the effort and expect someone to come and hold their hand through the entire process.

If you want me to put my effort and knowledge into something then I expect you to at least act like you care.

I generally give people the benefit of the doubt, but in this case it's not the first time.

i wouldn't be so quick to judge. these topics get asked so many times, and usually by highly impatient users (which fork isn't). A simple search can solve so much, but 9 times out of 10, a search isn't ran. And if it is, the person will search one time and if they get no results, they automatically think "well, my topic wasn't found, i think i'll post instead of changing my search parameters" I can use the same search topic, and depending on whether of not I click on recent or archived content, I get totally different results. And if I don't find something the first time, I change my search descriptor since a lot of times it may be too complicated.

I'm not going to let members badmouth a staff member. Save that for private emails that can be handled one on one. Thread locked.

Fork, if you have any more questions on the trans swap, shoot me an email.
