Recently with the change in weather I have been running rich or so said my A/F gauge. No totally in the green but second or third light. So today I decided to plug in my Wideband. While driving under a load peaking about 15PSI My Wideband recorded my A/F @ 20.8 with a FLASHING "R". My question is what can I do to change these consitions to make for safe driving..? Also running Power FC w/ Hand Commander.

Any good suggestions will help, thanx.

Check my sig for the best A/F . Might be time for a new sensor? dose your unit have a selftest on it?

I'm running a Innovative Wideband, the LM-1. I'm not too sure if it has a self check mode. And I only reach theses levels when driving while idling I have about a 14. Maybe the O2 sensor is bad??

Just because you're running 14:1 at idle, doesn't mean your car is tuned. You have to tune your car in EVERY cell, not just the idle cells.

BTW, if you're running 20:1 at cruising speeds, stop driving it now. Get into your PFC and start adding some fuel in those cells to get that ratio back where its supposed to be.

Also, you should pull that Innovate O2 sensor out and re-initialize it. There's a button for that, but you have to have the 02 sensor out in free air when you do it.

If you're not sure how to tune with the PFC, you should take it somewhere to get tuned. 20:1 (if it's a real reading) will destroy your motor.

If the gaskets were shot, you were probably reading high AF numbers because atmospheric air was being drawn into the exhaust upstream of the O2 sensor. The sensor was probably reading what it should have been reading in that case. For a wideband to be effective in tuning, you need to have ZERO exhaust leaks upstream of the wideband O2 sensor.

I am running about 14.6-14.8's under boost. Its more consistant.

Darius - I am looking into exhaust leaks as well, just for kicks to assure what you said to get even more accurate readings.

HAHAHA you've got to be kidding me . If that is an accurate reading your pistons are probably already half melted. Do NA cars even run stoich under WOT.. ?? Take your car to someone who knows what they're doing (not that shop who couldn't even get you a dyno printout) before your motor dies.
