Since now I have a one year old and using a car seat in the back seat... I noticed it digs into the leather. I'm sure after a while, the seat will leave indentations in it, not to mention the mess that the kid will make eating snacks and what have you. Any recommendations on a car seat protector that fits our Infiniti M well ?

I just have a mat made by brica (I think that's the name) that I put under the carseat. It won't help the food situation but it gives a thin layer between the carseat and leather. I've only had the car a month but it seems like it will be okay back there... my son is 5 though so his seat is a booster hybrid. His older seat was much bigger and heavier. It did a few years in the back of my volvo V70r w/ no lasting marks or issues.

Was going to say the same thing before I read the second post. Just put a towel or something in between the base and the seat, should do fine.

I don't have a kid but I'm getting married in May and with my luck one is right around the corner lol (I'd prefer 2yrs or so of just us traveling, etc. :rotflmao ) and that's what I would do in your situation.

I use one of these, and it seems to do all right. I just bought a 2nd with #2 due next month.

I used this exact same one when my kids were little. It did fine, but you have to keep in mind that if you're strapping one of those rear facing seats into the latch systems, these pads make it extremely hard to clean underneath them. You don't really expect Cheerios and other things to get under the pad, but they do!

Dry snacks are actually not that bad. It's the wet sticky stuff like fruit roll ups and swedish fish that will really mess up a seat.

Yeah, that was my plan, too. Might have lasted 6 months, if that.

I think that is the same one I use to protect the seat. it's good!

I also have this one to protect the back of the front seat. My daughter likes resting her feet on the back of the pass seat and with this I don't have to worry about any kind of damage :mike

I use a bench seat pet protector. It covers the whole back seat for my two mess makers and is a buffer for the seats digging in the leather. Only problem is Middle Seat Belt Is Covered So I Just sliDE ONE Of The carseats To The middle. every now and then I just dump the crumbs out along with the rubber floor mats that stay in all the time. (Also my phone seems to have trouble controlling THE SOUND OF ITS VOICE! !)

I have what looks to be a less sturdy version of that, but it has pockets to keep little odds and ends in. My son took a liking to kicking the back of the passenger seat, so I had to do something to protect it.

My last Infiniti survived two babies. Just make sure you give it a good vacuuming and wipe it down with Lexol or a similar leather cleaner. I wouldn't use one of those seat covers with a car seat. They can be very unsafe. Here is a good article:

I've always used the lion heart brand. Works great. Make sure you get that seat in right and tight!
