So my redtop SR's waterpump started going bad (leaking through weephole). And my injectors seemed like they weren't sealing right/they were plugged up.

My car has started and driven fine for about a year now. I replaced the water pump and injectors (with new o-rings) last night, and decided to let the sealant for the water pump sit over night. Button everything up and call it a night.

Try to start car this morning, and turned over for a couple of seconds then just stopped turning over. Check to make sure everything is how it should be installed. Try to start again, and engine won't even turn now, and starter is still making a noise and everything like it's trying to spin.

I tried to manually turn over the engine with a wrench on the crank and it seems like I'm hitting a wall or something where I can't even turn it over (not a small guy).

I also noticed that it seems like there is fuel coming through 2 of the injector caps (I thought is fine until car actually runs to seat the o-rings?)

What could cause the engine from not letting me turn it over at all?

I'm not the smartest persom but it sure seems like it's seized. I know that's the last thing you want to here but hopefully I'm wrong. Has you car overheated a lot, made any weird noises?

Nope hasn't overheated or anything. The waterpump had JUST started going bad, so I replaced with a new one.

I went out just now and was able to manually crank the motor. And I tried to start and the starter is making a loud "chah" type sound then everything just stops... I hit the starter with a hammer, but to no help.

So, did the starter just go bad over night?

There are two things I can think of that might cause an engine to not be able to turn. One is that the starter is bad and is still engaged in the fly wheel, and the other is that something happened to the timing chain and the the pistons are hitting the valves.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. But would RAS prevent the latter from happening?

Well I removed the starter and had it tested at Autozone... They said it was bad soooo I just picked up another starter today, probably won't be able to install it til tomorrow to see if that fixes the problem.

I just thought it was kinda weird that it just went bad all of a sudden, instead of like giving me trouble THEN giving out. Is that common?

There are just different ways in which they can fail. The most common way you see is that they have a bad spot in the wiring field and won't engage. There is also the won't come out, which is what the hammer trick is for. And then there is stuck out, which is what I think that you had.

So I had taken out the starter, had it tested at Autozone they told me it was bad. I got ahold of one that I knew was good. Installed it this morning....... Same thing.....

I also put the car in 4th and rolled it back and forth a little bit. And noticed fuel was coming out right before the turbo? Wtf?

Any ideas?

Pull your plugs and see what it looks like in there. Maybe there's a bad injector o-ring and it hydrolocked a cylinder? I've never seen that before, but I guess it could happen in theory.

So it happened to have been hydrolocked. Jesus christ.... Took off spark plugs, and turned ignition and PSHHH shot a s*** load of fuel in the air.

(Real good for my rattle can paint job).

I cleaned off the spark plugs with brake cleaner because they were soaked in fuel. (Not even 100 miles on them).

Wouldn't start up, but kinda just seemed like my battery was dead, so I put it on the charger.

Hopefully will start up tomorrow morning.

Fix your injector O-rings before you try to drive it. You'll get like 2 mpg with it the way it is and kill your rings. You'll probably also want to change your oil too, as I'm sure it reeks of gas right now.

On a side note, I had a friend who hydrolocked his jeep in a flood being an idiot once. I had him "watch" the cylinders after we pulled the plugs to make up for me having to come out a drag his jeep home.

Already replaced the O rings, and sounds like a plan. I needed to replace the oil anyways
