Back in May I wrote about how Lincoln could initiate a rebirth using the DEW/Mustang platform, as Jaguar has with its XF sedan.
Here's one designer's attempt at a Mustang-based Lincoln coupe:

I don't mind the profile, but they need to walk away from that ugly split grill they've become obsessed with lately. looks like a deformed evil spawn between a Pontiac and a 1970's olds cutlass. Yuck.

That looks suspiciously like the ambiguously gay duo's d!ck mobile. You know...if it were flesh colored.

I see a stretched SLS AMG with a dash of Chrysler Firepower.

That is hideous. Like, Joan Rivers hideous. It wants to be pretty so bad, but it missed the mark so long ago that now it's just committed to keep barreling on, hoping nobody pays TOO much attention.

Profile reminds me more of the overwrought SLR McLaren than the clean, sinewy SLS AMG. The nose is definitely ungood.

Styling aside, the exercise is all well and good, but it's not coupes and sportscars that Lincoln needs. It's sedans. World-class ones. With eight cylinders and rear wheel drive. And not a bolt in common with the Taurus.

Good god.

Someone took a hot-dog vendor awning and hung it off the front strut towers and called it a front end.

Todd McFarlane called - He's suing for copyright infringement.

Lincoln, just go the way of Oldsmobile. No one cares anymore.

That's not Lincoln's design. It's someone's independent rendering.

Kinda like the kid here that was trying to get us to sell Nissan on his Sharpie drawing?
