Who wants a write up of curing car cancer? The section of missing quarter panel on my car wants to be shown off...

Could this also apply to reparing hatch rust? I'm too lazy to mess with my hatch wiring. I would rather patch the existing trunk(and i want to keep my rear wiper).

this is actually quite a bit more involved than repairing a hatch. Depending on how bad your hatch is, you could possibly fix it with reinforced body filler.

I've got one seriously bad hole that nearly goes down towards the third brake light. It's not quite there but I would rather deal with it now rather than later, ya know.

unless you have the skills to fabricate a patch panel and weld it in, you will be better off with a new(er) hatch.

I just repaired my hatch and can give some hints. Maybe I will post some pics up later.

Just tack weld it a bunch becuase it will warp the hatch and melt the glue holding it straight. Take it off the car or you will ruin your paint and cover the glass in your hatch so metal doesnt melt itself into the glass.

I didnt do any of that so mine is pretty F'ed. Luckily I dont care and its going to be a autox/drift beater, and now I dont have any holes :-) .
