I'm thinking about dropping an SR20VE with a sr16ve crank and supercharger into my 240. The only problem i can see would be the intake manifold and custom brackets for the supercharger. Yes i also know its a front wheel drive engine so i would have to get an sr20de transmission. Ideas thoughts ect?

Why? And why are you asking here? Obviously people in this section have made the smart choice and just put in the det.

FWD motors will not bolt into a RWD chassis.

I have personally compared FWD and RWD blocks. They are physically different sizes. The trans bolts up different. And the CAS is placed on the rear of the head, which would put it through the firewall in a RWD layout

Seriously, if ya wanna do something like that, make an sr20ve-t for a 200sx or g20, that's do-able.

if you really need a supercharger, there is a supercharger kit for the DET, I think was made by greddy and only found in japan making it way too expensive and hard to find for the power it makes.

If I remember it was like 5 or 6 thousand dollars, considering it can only push <10 psi, you could put all that money into a mean turbo setup, and be a little less unique but kick more ***.

Why would you want a sr16 crank? If you want small displacemnet/high rev you could get a ca18det or rb20det.
