A Couple TroubleShooters

Ok so of course I've researched an whatnot and i just have a couple quick troubleshooting issues.The car needs a tune up all around for sure. I've just done plugs and put in new gas (it sat for a long time before i bought it) so i hooked up a timing light to the plug wires and it had faults in 2 of the wires SO i should probably replace those. Anyway, here comes an odd part, there's no radio in the car so the wiring harnesses are exposed and as i was fiddling with them they of course moved around. well, then the car wouldn't start, so i moved them around because that's all i'd moved, and the car started right up. is there some kind of ignition wire under the dash? One last thing, when driving the car it seems to run oddly from 2000-3000rpms, that may be do to the plug wires but any ideas? i'm sure you guys know more about KA's than i do..im used to VG's! thanks!
