Are there any front strut bars that don't get in the way of changing out your spark plugs? I just did mine today and had to remove the bar to get to the middle 2 plugs and it was a PITA.

I was wondering if anybody's made their own custom trunk board for the 2+2 model? I want to get a sub box but I don't have the luggage boards underneath my carpet or the spare tire back there and the carpet just doesn't seem to sit right without it. I bought the luggage boards and they just don't fit nicely without the spare tire underneath or maybe I'm just not doing it right? If anybody has some custom ideas or is selling something that would work that would be amazing.

I think you mean the balancer. Yes, that needs to be removed to replace the rear spark plugs (at least on my 2+0), but it wasn't that bad. Also, don't lose the O rings when you do that.

Nah, I meant the strut bar. The balancer wasn't too bad to remove.

Hmm... must be different on a 2+2 than my 2+0. I didn't have to remove anything but the balancer.

unless you bought an aftermarket bar, you dont have one on your car...

and no even the carbing one i had got in the way. just gotta deal with it, or get the fender braces like me

as for the trunk board, you can make a stencil out of cardboard and make it out of what ever you want. 3/8 plywood would be good or a nice piece aluminum sheet, choices are endless!

Yea every strut bar is going to get in the way. :chuckle:

When you say you bought luggage boards, what are you talking about? You should post some pictures.

Yeah I was looking at the Carbring instead but if it still gets in the way then no point in switching it out. How much were the fender braces?

Oh! So after I changed my sparks, my cars been stuttering lately, kind of sounds like a backfire/misfire but I'm hoping that it's just the coil pack connectors that are loose. I already ordered a new set from Z1, so hopefully that should start it. Anybody have any idea of what else it could be? It's only during idle, and 2nd and 3rd gear, I haven't really felt it in 4th and 5th.

edit: I'll post some pictures of what I got tonight but in case I don't, it's just the boards underneath the carpet?

the braces were a few years ago when no one had them when i bought them. Sooooo i had to wait for them to get to me from japan, right from spl. i believe they were 300 or so. i tack welded them in along with the bolts. never looked back, they are great!
