a couple questions about plugs, transmission, and routine maintanence

read through a lot of posts but didn't really find anything specific to what i am asking. first off i would really appreciate a fast response from someone knowledgable as i am looking to get this done in the next couple days. 1st question. i have two mechanics telling me that ngk plugs are just fine, the other guy says go with factory as ngk can cause some rough idle and other minor problems that could become big, everything i have found tends to go with the factory mechanic. does ngk work fine or should i go with the other guy? 2nd question. Do you actually change the transmission fluid or is it a sealed system? my boss swears it is sealed and your not supposed to change it. but no one can answer me completely. thank you in advance and please help!!!!

1. you should only use the NGK platinum plugs part number PFR5G-11 or PFR6G-11... You cna get them from Joe at infiniti of scottsdale.

2. You can change the fluid, its called a transmission flush...

You want to drop the pan, inspect the magnetic bolt and pan, clean each, and replace the screen filter before the mechnical fluid exchange. If you use the BG machine, time it as it uses the transmission's pump and thus the health (wear) can be deduced.

Most of the Q45 owners run M1 ATF with 6 oz. of Lube Guard Red.

As an alternative, ask a SnapOn jobber who has the Sun machine.

Don't ignore your PS fluid either.
