Slick ride !! Good luck with that turbo. I know those things go for about $3k. Curious to see how well that performs for you.

with it being lowered about 3 inches and with the suspension work, this thing handles better than just about anything I've owned... drove a formula ford in scca for a while, and I swear they have about the same cornering ability!!

Now when I add a little power it should really be a great daily driver... I forgot to mention the 5 spd trans I put in and short throw shifter.. Makes all the difference in the world. The old automatic worked good for the first 125000 miles, but like everyone else's, it would hang up and not shift..

I'm thinking a roll bar would be a good addition.. both for stiffening the chassis and for added safety.. like the miata dual loop bars.. if I can get them to fit and do a 4 point weld in..

The turbo has been in for about two months now and the only problem is getting the stupid grin off my face every time I drive it... added new thicker sway bars from and rear and not only does it go great in straight line, it handles like my old Formula Ford!!!!!!!!!!

These new Federals handle better than some of the goodyear racing slicks I used to run... yep... quite happy..

I debadged the car and nobody knows what it is... I live in a snooty country club neighborhood and I love driving my old car and parking next to all the BMWs, sl500s, etc at the golf course.. with the 3 inch exhaust and turbo, it's quite rude... all the caddys want to park it.. they even leave it parked in front on some days next to the Lambos and Ferrari's...

with the fresh paint, new wheels and tires, and tricked out interior.. it looks just as good as some of the newer cars.

Dude I work at a country club. The one time I took my vert out for a drive was hilarious. I drove it to work one day with dealer tags. Keep this in mind, while in storage, someone stole my whole exhaust from in front of the cat all the way back. so I basically rolled in like someone was shooting 4 9mms, one after another, and parked right next to this nice lookin SL500. gave it a nice little rev before I left work too

ok.. two years went by... enjoyed the hell out of the vert until one day, at about 5000 rpm, several piston rings decided to go on permanent vacation... note to ka-t builders... use thicker head gasket to keep from blowing rings... now getting new sr20det, s15 turbo, 550 injectors, emance tune, z32 maf, megan exhaust manifold, cxr radiator, greddy oil pan and lsd... we'll try again to have that silly grin on my face...
