Yep, and ride and brake horribly on their pickup style suspensions, rust out from under you and forget crash protection. Just need to find a geezer trying to relive his youth and i willing to overpay for it. Dropping in a large crate motor the chassis can't handle will get you extra bucks when you sell it as a muscle car, and about 8 mpg until then.Johnny Rocket wrote:Because of the complexity of todays car your better off buying a 1955 -57 chevy and putting money in those as they just go up in value and are simple and cheap to work on...
Then you must like the original look of the Q. Here in California you are what you drive. It may be sad but true. With California being the biggest market for cars in the US I guess that goes with the territory.Funny you mentioned the Cima cause I was thinking of buying a Cima nameplate for my car. I already have the Cima hood ornament and now I am looking for the grill.Q45tech wrote:But I don't consider a revised and redesigned 94-96 Q a Q, and worse is the 97-01 Q41 CIMA and worse yet is the 02 Q45 CIMA.
Each to his own. I could care less what others think about my cars as they is my cars.
I'm looking forward to owning one of the last few running Q45's on earth.
It will share space with the 99 AMG C43 which is down to less than 1,000 registered running units in US. Boy those rich kids wrecked them right and left.It will also share space with a 2009 GM 1500 truck......thanks Obama.
The 20 year old Q gets better MPG than any of the above others.
Dude, dont buy into the hype. Let other people make their $500/month payments while you enjoy your Q. Dennis is right that "keeping up appearances" played a major role in this economic crisis. People living way beyond their means with only their credit holding them up.trajanH wrote:Then you must like the original look of the Q. Here in California you are what you drive. C'mon Tech - we all know you're a sharp guy. How much do you HONESTLY think we could get for California? Cost us more to ship it than it's worth...Q45tech wrote:Traded to China for some of our debt.

Wow. It sure doesn't take very long for a "Q45 thoughts" thread to degenerate into a "Bash California" thread. The idea that California is the only area in the U.S. where people live beyond their means seems a bit inaccurate.
Trading California to China? If your home state has Walmart stores in it, then China has a direct $$$ pipeline to and from your home state. China says "Thank You Come Again".
