OK I have been having all these idea's I am over whelmed actually (And I am not high). I thought that us G50 guys could adapt the FGY33 steering wheel mounted radio controls and the rear sun shade.

The radio controls might be some what tough since you have to find a way to mount them and wire them up but it is totally possible.

The rear sun shade is easy to wire, But to mount it may be a bit hard.

Any input is appreciated.

If needed I can post pictures and wiring diagrams but there are too much.

I like my G50 and the VH45DE, plus I can barley maintain one G50) to OEM standards (well actually I am struggling) but Many have told me to get a 1994 Q45, Nissan President and so forth.

But these Mods don't require a BCM AKA Body control module as far as I know so they should be real easy to do.

I am bring the best mods that are simple-hard to do to the G50 to make the best damn G50 out there that might surpass some new cars when it comes to features.

Just look at my signature for mods that I have done so far.

Rear package shelf and wiring, especially for the steering wheel, would be a problem.

Post subjects would be much more interesting if it were an accomplished fact rather than mere wish list.

As you can see the rear package deck has little space for the rear sun shade to fit, but people with Q45t spoilers are lucky because they can use the extra room that the 3rd brake light isn't taking up.

Go here to see a bigger picture: http://picasaweb.google.com/pp...55394

And yes the above picture is a JDM sun deck with a air purifier and not a bin.

But all I need to do is find a smaller light or some how shave the OEM one to accommodate the sun shade.

But once I make room for it to fit length wise I need to sure the G50 rear parcel shelf is deep enough to accommodate the sun shade.

Brian do you mind showing me what the rear sun deck on your car looks like when the sun shade is up and down please?

By the time I am done with my car it will be Jesda's dream Q45 according to his post here: zerothread?id=131609, But trust me I am doing this for me.

Didn't want yet another pointless war. But I have to say i do like the back of the 1997-1998 Q45, its just sexy as hell how the back window slopes down to the tail lights.

But thanks for bring up the topic because I just bought a FGY33 rear shock tower bar and I hope that it fits with out any problems. I will report back in this topic about it.

I hope to have the most luxurious and best handling G50 while restoring it to its former glory.

Things that fit both FGY33 and G50:

Air filter, sparkplugs, some wheels, rear rotors and calipers in combination, fog light bulbs (and probably some others). Not much else that I know about.

Basically they are as different as a Galaxie 500 and an Impala.

Is there any difference in calipers at all between the G50 and FGY33?

The rear calipers for the FYG33 and JPY32 are the same. They are $320 at IOS, while the G50 calipers are $190. I think the difference is that they allow for a vented brake disc as opposed to a solid one found on the G50.

I'm with Paul on this. My 92 Q45 was one of the "sportiest" years made performance wise but is a little lacking in the luxury department. I definately enjoy the power and speed and don't really want to buy another car as I've had mine 4 yrs. now. I just install the auto-dim mirror, keyless entry, and chrome interior door handles. I'm pretty excited to keep lux-ing up my Q to newer standards!

That is true. You will also need the different dust shields also.

At WOT compared to a G50 (which also will lose to a V6 Honda from rest), yes.

In everyday driving, not really.

What people don't understand is that the FGY33 weight about 300+ LBS less than a G50 (Obliviously Active,TCS,HICAS or 1994-1996 G50 weight the most) but the weight loss made up for the smaller engine so they are some what equal except at WOT.

To say they are slow is just dumb...dude, it is not like your driving around some 500hp M5, if you were you'd have the right to say "slow" but the difference is NOT that great...plus most 2nd gens are in way better shape due to more reliable designs..so get over it, slow, not compared to you...compared to my a new LS460, S550, etc YES, to a 1993 Q45, slightly slower...your about the same speed category.

Like StarPD said , learn to read before you post because I was infact defending you and I was trying to not start a war, but since you brought it.

The FGY33 is SLOW.

did you buy a new damn car yet?

Back to the subject. Ive had both and i can say that they are pretty close but overall, y33 wins for me because of its good looks. reliability, fuel consumption, sex appeal so and so. its like mac vs pc. you can modify a G50 cheap but a Y33 will always be better out of the box and be hassle free. G50 is a butch and y33 is a horny ballerina. the butch could beat the crap out of the horny ballerina and be your best bud but the ballerina will show you her special FEATURES and do splits for you all day without getting tired like the old butch. < get the analogy.

monday night drinking ftw. French Connection is my best buddy.thank you mozilla for your spell check or i would have embarrassed my self bad.
