Yea, you can use the stock KA radiator and use the SR fan. Because you would be using the KA radiator with the SR neither the KA shroud nor SR shroud would fit. Of course you already know this. The shroud is useful in directing airflow, but I know a few people that use the setup your describing and not having any cooling problems.

I was lucky enough to find an SR radiator and fan shroud locally for fairly cheap, so you might see if any of your local 240 owners have that stuff just laying around. The SR swap looks much cleaner by not using the KA radiator

The electric fan on the KA is the auxiliary A/C condenser fan. If you ditch A/C you can ditch that fan.

If you want a sr fan shroud i have one lying around in my basement. I live in norcal. I can sell it for 70$. it has a crack on one side though. it doesnt affect airflow though.
