I'm looking for a good alarm system too... something with a gps locator and a remote engine kill switch.. I can't find one that's like that already built so I was going to make one out of some other components.. I especially wanna have a feature that when activated will alert local police and actually lock the thief in the car.

no hot wire is one of the best anti-theft but it isn't an alarm though..

I was thinkin about gettin an alarme too but i was wonderin do they mess with or take out your stock one when puttin it in if you have someone else install it? Also if i got one i was thinkin about gettin one that came with a remote start buttin so i could just start my car from where ever i want within a couple hundred feet or whatever, but what i was wonderin is does anyone else on here have remote starts on there Z's and do they like them or not, also is it ok for the car to get remote start installed? It doesnt mess anything up does it?

someone on the audio and security thread on this site stated that the clifford g5 alarm is the best way to go. check out their site and tell me what you think.
