So just a couple things going on 1 is general the other is CA related. The 1st general q is my washer nozzles stopped working or the engine pump for the spray or something is busted or some wires may be fried idk, any suggestions on where to start? They worked one day then stopped I filled my res up and still nothing the wipers go but no spray:(
The next is my CA is starting to sputter/ making funny sounds in the mid-rpm range, the engine still revs fine, but goes put put put put put when I'm mid rpm range, possibly on one cylinder, is it a bad injector, I started getting that lifter ticking noise as well, any ideas? Man sometimes it sounds like a rod is about to let go almost, something weird, I'm not sure what is going on, I mean it's not really rod knock, because I would hear it at idle and all throughout the rpm range right? On the plus side I am ditching that pos 2 piece drive shaft this weekend(all the bolts kept falling out because I bought it from an idiot that had like 3 different bolt sizes in it unbalanced as heck, but my old one fell apart) because my aluminum single piece driveshaft shop driveshaft is here tomorrow, so that may eliminate some issues. Anyways as always thanks for all your insight fellows! :yesnod

Sounds like you may have a coil pack or an injector preparing to fail (#1 or #4). The lifter issue will cause issues as well and before it runs you crazy, either switch to a thicker oil to see if it quiets-down or go through the headache of tracking down the bad lifter. The best way to do that is to locate the side (intake/exhaust) where the possibly noisy lifter is located, remove the camshaft and test each lifter to see which one is the softest (easiest to squeeze with your fingers). Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Dee :yesnod Well it better not be a coil pack because all of mine are brand spankin new, less then 4 months old, so maybe an injector???? I was planning on switching them out soon anyways so I guess I'll just be doing it sooner  Well I am using 5W30 right now, so maybe switch to 10W40? or did I remember seeing someone using 15w50?????? But I am due for a change so I'll try a thicker weight. A friend of mine told me to run kerosene through the engine before I do my next oil change???? :wtf2:
He told me it would clear out any carbon build up I might have. I don't think I'm going to follow his advice, it sounds....... kinda scary :ohno:
And forget taking the head apart I will just buy another one and take the time to invest in the machinework and a tomei solid set before I would take the time to go through that process and end up losing my mind. (I remember the recent post about the same issue). I am somewhat mechanically inclined but being that my 240 is my DD I am not confident enough in my abilities that I could have it dis assembled tested and fixed and put back together in the time I would need it to be ready for work. And anyone know if anyones selling a washer fluid reservoir with pump and all included wiring??? Lol I checked the lines they are fine, and I think the pump maybe just fried so idk, but with winter coming up I need my washer jets to work!!!!!!!! Dee if I want around 300 hp at the flywheel would 555 cc injectors do the trick???
( i had the GTR 440 or 444 cc injectors but I think I need to step them up a litttle more just in case) :dblthumb:
As always thanks!

Well update did the oil change but with 10W40 vs the 5w30 that was in there, maybe if I used 20w50 it would go away lmao! So I guess I'll just deal with the ticking until I put together a new completely rebuilt engine with solid lifters lol :naughty:

Replaced the driveshaft an wah lah nooooo more crazzzzy noises the center carrier bearing was destroyed, as well as all the bolts in the rubber on the front so man after I put the driveshaftshop driveshaft in mannnnn it made a ton of difference, no more SLOP! Acceleration is epic, shifting is effortless between gear changes now, and burn out can easily be had according to their add, lol or at least someone faster with the single piece ds.
