I just got done listening to Obama's press conference today. I have to say, I was pleased with what I heard. I applaud the way he's handled the Egypt and Libya situations. Clearly we would like to see the old school dictators get overthrown, but we'd like the populace to get it done rather than having US military take action. Obama has done a nice job with his public stance. He's shown support for the uprising and the desired results, but hasn't had to put our troops in the way. I think that stance has helped our overall status among the middle east nations. His comments today about keeping an eye on Libya and watching for any atrocities was solid. His commitment to make any potential military action a UN move rather than US move is solid as well. Nice job Pres.

I'd have to say the only major issue I took with anything he said was his comments about Republicans adding "political statements" to the budget bill. That was a cheap shot because any educated person knows that both sides do that all the time.. it's no recent development by the current republican leaders.

Overall.. I'm happy with our Pres today. And for me to say that.. that's saying something, because I have not been a supporter of most of his work so far.

I think President Obama has been doing himself a service by keeping out of the headlines for the past few weeks. Let Congress rip itself to shreds. There will be plenty of time to lead, but at the moment, there isn't much to lead.

Gotta agree (for now) with all of the above.

However, I'm watching his response to Japan's crisis closely, with Haiti still fresh in mind. We're all watching.

Hollow words have a shallow ring to them. Time will tell which side of his mouth he was speaking out of.

A fair point you have there, considering his track record as POTUS. **Hoping for the best.**

Seems to be a political "norm" today (from both parties)
