I'm doing another auto-X to make up for the one I didn't get pictures for; but, I'm unsure which class will be best suited for me.

I've been over the SCCA rules over and over again and the Prepared class seems to be the closes. The fact that I removed the carpet and rear seats puts me in class I dont think is right for me. The carpet and seats had mold, thats why I tossed them.

Basically the car could run in STX class except for the fact that the carpet and rear seat are gone. (Mods in my sig).

Could somebody give me an idea? Is there a middle ground?

I had the same problem with my 240Z, I later swapped the motor and went to EM, if you want to run STX, you need to locate new carpet, if you want to stay prepared, either get used to loosing or start modifying your car to better fit the class, the driver is the most important part of the car, and good driver can be competitive in an uncompetitive car, and a bad driver can't compete even in a well prepped car

if loosing to more experienced drivers with better prepped cars bother you, changing class will likely not help, either your serious enough to work towards being competitive or you do it for fun and you just need to accept that your there for fun and that you can not compete

I think your right. I'm not interested in Auto-X competition, I just want to have fun and use it to test out new configurations before I hit the real track. HPDE is why I bought the car and that's what its tuned for. I'll just run in the class I'm in and have fun. Thanks!
