I will be going back sometime soon to do more R&D, so I need your inputs on what you want for your Altima Coupe.
For more information about there performance line go to http://www.tanabe-usa.com
Thanks for your Feedback. Much appreciated
ok if someone could describe Coilovers, Strut Tower Bars, Under Brace and Stabilizers, I could make a better more educated choice lol. I don't feel like wikipedingLoop wrote:Altima Coupe: What would you like to see from Tanabe Racing Development? (Sorry, no FREE stuff)

then what's the big fuss with the pro kit springs, if coilovers are better?Shift_Altima wrote:Coilovers are for dropping the car. Instead of getting cheap springs like everyone seems to want to do and then having to replace the shock absorbers after a few thousand miles since hte aftermarket spring were obviously not made to fit properly.. you can get a coilover. Thats a shock absorber (damper is what I call it) and a spring that's built to fit it. Although it's expensive.. it's inevitable.. you're gonna have to get new dampers after a short period of time if you get aftermarket springs since it will mess with the suspension. Anything I missed or was rong with?
if you haven't noticed already the a/c peeps have pretty much already taken over this forum.type in your browserhttp://www.altimacoupe.comMr. Music wrote:Coilovers! I'd gladly *try* to shell out the extra money for a set; no worries in the future. Having just about everything on the list would be nice though.BTW, thanks to you guys for getting parts produced! And, remember the sedan! Because sooner or later, the sedan owners are gonna get jealous and boot us coupe owners to another forum!
Strut Tower Bar- Its an adjustable brace that connects the two sides of your car together to provide added/tightened support. Increased handling ability is the result. It connects both sides of your upper struts, front 2 and rear 2. Strut = the top of the shock absorber. Link below is to a picture of one. The black bar going across the engine is the strut tower bar. http://www.nichepi.com/struts/stb2/P1010001.JPGmcheddadi wrote:

Tein makes some of the best suspension parts. Extremmeelllyyy expensive but very good. For coilovers.. instead of getting that 'bouncy' ride ur talking about.. they have a computer in the car that allows u to adjust the firmness of the ride. Spirited driving vs daily driving. If you want ur car to handle really well u set the computer to tighten the suspension and make the ride firm and handle well.. for a daily drive when you dont need to handle you set the computer to have a smoother ride.. very expensive though. very.adidas2go wrote:

As for the Coilovers. They do have a downside. Most are not perfect in the transition from ride quality to race configuration especially adjustable types. Therefore resulting in a "bouncy" type ride. However there are some that are very well built. Tanabe could make a good one. I just dont know the company.
Under Brace- Is a brace attached to the underside of the car usually at mid body, to achieve brace at a point that strut tower bars cannot. Used for the same purpose at strut tower bars however.
Stabilizers- Also known as Anti-Roll bars. The anti-roll bar connects the left and right suspension systems under the car to add to the roll-resistance of the springs. Usually for people not wanting to lower the car but still want the handling as such.
thanks for the update, but were talking about Tanabe parts hereShift_Altima wrote:

so what about us sedan owners are we SOL?? i would love to get my hand on some coil oversLoop wrote:Even if you dont want Tanabes performance line. You can still vote!
Thank you to everyone who voted.
+1 for all of this, plus a master cylinder brace and bushings.Malves85 wrote:I would like to see Strut Tower Bars, Coilovers, Under Brace, Stabilizers and anything else that hasnt been produced yet for the coupe. Being the first to come out with a part is always an advantage that would boost sales plus keep us customers happy. I would gladly buy any of the above things if they came out. Thank you guys for the descriptions on the above parts. I wasnt too sure what exactly some of them were until you clarified.
