Hey got a quick question. Recently got a/c overhaul new compressor, receiver/drier, and r-134 freon. On a normal start it takes 15 to 20 minutes for the air to get cold. Could I be low on freon or does this warrant a bad condensor? Any help appreciated

My A/C sucks too. But I think mine probably just needs recharging.... Takes forever to get cold then it never really is COLD.

You may just be low on the freon.

Just telling you guys what i found out from my friends dad (ac mechanic). The ac system has to cool down the inside of the car first, so say its 100 degrees inside the car or more (since you live in phoenix) the ac will start blowing at around 80 or so degrees. which is still warm air but its cooler than 100+ once the inside temps go down more you wil feel the ac coming out cooler. This is why at night, the ac comes out freezing cold, or if your car has been in a garage for a while.

Also R12 converted cars to R134, the ac wont be as cold as it was with the R12.
