well the entire systems removed. as of now i plan on leaving it that way. not because i want the HP or weight reduction. because im lazy and i dont wanna deal with the possibility of leaky AC lines. hardly ever use it in my current car, however i plan on moving to NC. how much will i regret not having it? can i keep the parts plug the open lines and reinstall it at a later date or will that be a living hell? good incentive to fix the power windows though.

Meh, you don't need to shield the radiator. Just don't hit anything.

As for not having it, I live in Western WA where the hottest it gets is in the high 80s, and I just recently fixed mine due to my car always getting hot whenever it's parked for more than an hour. Damn pop-up sunroof with no cover...

I live in Texas and I only miss it in heavy traffic (which I RARELY see) and long road trips (which I RARELY take).

I took out my A/C last fall when I did my turbo stuff. About 4 months out of the year, the heat and humidity are pretty rough. You just have to take extra steps to keep your car cool. I always look for shade to park in no matter how far of a walk it is or at least use one of those chessy windsheild screens. I think it was a fair trade off, one compressor for another. I am the type of person that would rather have the windows down anyway and enjoy the fresh air and hear the turbo spool and blow off in each gear. :)

theres alot of little pebbles wedged in the condensor so im afeared that all those little pebbles may damage my shiny new radiator. i suppose its silly probably couldnt puncture it. yeah its staying out there wasnt any freon in it so there musta been a leak in the lines and the other system well im too lazy. only ever used it when my passenger wanted it so screw em.

ya, my sis' mazda tribute has some nasty hits from little rocks already to the AC condensor <2003 ES 4wd>

unless u got a liftetime warranty radiator, think up of some sorta shielding.

I'm thinking of putting some sorta fine screen in front of the condensor of her SUV...

i think u will haveta replace the receiver/drier if u want to use the AC system again <unless u seal that up well as well...>
