HiThe a/c system was opened up. I need to make sure there is no water in the system. How do I do that.

A little history. Last weekend I went to autozone, they gave me the pump to evacuate it, ALL THE PUMP DID WAS PUT OIL INTO IT ?

I have all the 134a, just need to know how to evacuate it and what tools I need. Also do I replace the orings and do I need to replace the valves, if so how do I go about that ?

Thank you

Aaron

The vacuum pump causes the water [moisture to evaporate when continued for 30 minutes. Always replace the receiver dryer when ever the system is opened.

Just pull a vacuum for 30 minutes. I would replace the o-rings while you are in there, otherwise they could crack and leak out freon. The only valve in there you should (probably) replace is the expansion valve, it's behind the glove box.
