A/C seats are a great feature for me in South Florida only I feel the air but cannot tell the difference in the three settings. From the off/center position I have been running them in the middle setting too cool the seats but in Florida with a black interior the temps are hitting over 100, so do you know which setting is high, one from center/left or three from center?I looked in the manual and could not find the answer. Thanks for the great info.

The farther from the middle, the higher the setting it is.

I noticed that the A/C seats didn't seem very cool even on the high setting in my 2006 M45. I noticed the same thing in a relative's 2006 E330. On the other hand, in a coworker's 2008 CTS, they seats are very cold, which is nice.

I later noticed that the auto A/C on the M45 doesn't ever blow toward the feet, so I changed the mode to manual split between feet and normal, with the fan still automatically changing. Once I did that, the seats get a little more comfortably cool. I haven't found out how to check the filters on the cooled seats yet, but it could be more related to that than to the A/C change or cars mentioned, as the air moves a lot more on the CTS, which happens to be three years newer (and could therefore have a filter three years cleaner [or perhaps no filter at all]).

Taking the filter out does nothing to improve air flow unfortunately, just feel around under there and it'll pop right out. I haven't noticed that the seats get cooler like you say during the split, but then again I haven't paid much attention. I don't use the split much since it takes so much air from the upper vents and I can hardly feel it anyways on the floor. Bottom line is the seats don't blow near hard enough to really matter.
