A/C removal and coolant line question

Hey, for the past couple days I have been stripping my interior and taking all that tar or sound damping crap out.This is where I'm at now and I'm wondering what these 2 peices are I'm sure they are something for the a/c and heat but one has an inlet and outlet for coolant so if I were to take these 2 pieces out would this be a problem cause those coolant lines wouldn't be there?Thanks

what a mess... those things are the heater core (hot water of engine cros troght it) and the other one is the fan box theres other kind of radiator named evaporator and that sh.. is for the a/c....
