so this may sound like a stupid question, but do they make an electric a/c unit for the z? i dont know about anyone else, but i hate the slight lag feel to a car when the a/c is crankin, and being that im in southern florida, its always on. any input would be helpful.

p.s. my baby will no longer be stock in a few weeks. i ordered the aem cai a few days ago, and am very excited to get in on... so its not a full nismo exhaust... its still a start

um, to my knowlede no one makes electric a/c compressors for any car? it takes a lot of electric to power one and would require upsizing the alt and the rest of the electrical system, and yeah a/c is a drag on the motor when it kicks on, this is why race cars do not have a/c!

as for the usefullness of the site, if you feel you need responce faster than 45 minutes, you might want to aim someone

Actually the ALMS cars are now allowed to have a/c in the cars, but it has to be conventional type and must keep the cabin at a warm 85 degrees F. Just a little trivia.

Good response, and the C6R Vettes are now useing the OEM A/C system, just a little beefed up for reliability and weight savings. For common and realistic questions this site is not at all a waste of time.
