A/C question for anyone......

my a/c blower works if I literally" hit the dash" with my fist ( area over the middle vent section). It might or might not come on when I start my car..but if I hit the dash..it will come on and the air will blow. There does not appear to be any loose wiring behind the a/c panel...any ideas????if I turn the a/c button on and off..you can hear the blower clicking on and off..but this alone wont make it work...is it a blower issue? or a control panel issue?? and where would I get the best price on replacing either??.i love my j....but man I am starting to sink the money in her..need alot of front end work here soon...

For whatever reasons, soldering seems to have been an unusually challenging task for those in charge of putting together the J30s. I suggest starting with another climate control panel off eBay (around $40, early models have a red ring around the edge of the flashers button, later are black) and swapping-out the units. See radio removal threads for how-tos on that. You may then want to do a search on the forums for repairing the control unit to have a spare.Although temporarily effective, wallop adjustments on car electronics is not recommended.
