A/C problems with my j30

I let my car warm up I put my ac on auto on the floor and at 85digrees....
I let it run like that for a long while!. And it will not blow hot air? What can I do

You dont need to run in auto for the heater.

If you change it down to 65 then back up to 85 do you hear the mixer door moving behind the dash ?
It may be stuck.

i had the same issue and my heater bled door under the hood was sticking and all i did was spray it with pb blaster and turned it to cold then back to hot a few times and it freed it up and now works perfect. try having someone turn the dial while looking at it to see if it moves.

It must be sweet to run the AC in December.

It's 10 degrees faherneheit up in these parts. Heater is one full blast.

How do I find the heater blend door?

well i guess really call it like a hott coolant valve. its behind the engine in the very center with a cable that comes out from the interior of the firewall with 2 rubber hoses going to it and under it you can see the return hoses from the heater core. ill try to get a pic up tomorrow but ill be a little busy but might be able to get one. but all i did was spray it with some pb blaster or wd40 or something equivlent and turned the dial to cold then hot a few times and it started working perfect. no issues since. also make sure you have coolant and see where i told you the valve is and see if its not bypassed.

in response to driver its kinda nice to use the ac in winter but i recently found out my ac compressor has been making a knocking sound like an engine does for idk how long so whenever it desides to go im going to have to replace it. along with all the other stuff im going to have to do to it still.

if you look on page HA-74 of the pdf file repair manual you can see a pic of the valve and where its at. hope this helps.

heres the FSM (feild service manual) its very helpful with things.
just download it to your computer and then youll be set. the 93 link takes longer to loud for me but the others load faster so try those there basically the same.
