a/c problem

I just replaced the compressor,condenser and every other conceiveable part of my a/c system and had it evacuated and charged.The shop said it held vaccuum well and pressures were good.It alo got to 57 degrees in the shop. However....during a three hour drive later .The first coupleof hours it worked great!! The last ..not so good. I did find a used condenser fan(original type) and I have seen it spinning while the a/c was on. The problem is..it is cold the first five minutes after turning the a/c on..thereafter it blows warm again. When i got home I turned it on and watched. The fan kicked on once while it was still blowng cold,then i could hear the fan switch come on..but no fan.If i just replaced the fan with another fan ,would that cure my problem? Does the compressor kick off if the fan doesn't cut on? Andwhat tpe of fan do i get and how woud i wire it?

ok..Looking at it close..wiring a new fan in would be no problem really .Anyone know what factory style fans will work best? Am i correct in thnking that the fan should be running the whole time the a/c s on? I can let it idle for fifteen minutes with it on and the fan will never kick on!!!.

Electric fan should be on anytime that A/C is on. Without A/C on it will not cut on until ECU sees Temps around 214 degrees.
