A/C problem

Hi everybody, I bought my 07 Versa almost a week ago, and I noticed that the A/C is not blowing cold enough air. So I thought it might need a recharge.
Last night I went to autozone and bought (A/C Pro) to recharge. After going through the steps. I can tell that the blown air was getting even warmer and I can hear the compressor not engaging for more than a second! And disengaging back again.

What did I do? Overcharge ?

What can I do now ?

I'd try to see if there's a leak in the system first. Refrigerant in a closed system doesn't just disappear.
